Classic Kerala — Hills, Spice Gardens & Backwater Bliss

Very first day arrival at Kochi Airport/ railway station, where our representative will meet and greet you and assist with a comfortable private transfer to Munnar. The drive takes around 5 hours and is one of the most scenic routes in Kerala, passing through lush green valleys, waterfalls, spice plantations, and winding roads of the Western Ghats. Enroute, you may stop at Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls for photography and enjoy the beautiful tea gardens along the way. On arrival in Munnar, you will check in at your hotel or resort and spend the evening at leisure, enjoying the cool mountain climate. Overnight stay will be in Munnar.

After breakfast, you will proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar, a hill station famous for its endless tea plantations and mist-covered hills. The day includes visits to Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, followed by the Tea Museum where the history and processing of tea is showcased in detail. Later, you will explore Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake, where optional boating can be enjoyed depending on weather conditions. The day also includes scenic viewpoints, tea gardens, and photography stops before returning to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay in Munnar.

On the third day, after breakfast and check-out, you will proceed towards Thekkady, known for its wildlife and spice plantations. The journey takes you through beautiful landscapes filled with cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon plantations, offering a rich aromatic experience. On arrival in Thekkady, you may enjoy optional activities such as a boating experience at Periyar Lake inside the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where chances of spotting wildlife are high depending on luck and season. You can also explore spice plantations or enjoy cultural shows like Kathakali or Kalaripayattu in the evening. Overnight stay will be in Thekkady.

On the fourth day, after breakfast, you will check out and proceed towards Alleppey, famously known as the "Venice of the East" for its enchanting backwaters. The drive takes approximately 4 to 5 hours through scenic countryside views. Upon arrival, you will board your private traditional Kerala houseboat, where you will be welcomed warmly and begin a relaxing cruise through the serene backwaters. The journey offers beautiful views of coconut groves, narrow canals, paddy fields, and village life along the waterways. Fresh Kerala meals will be served onboard, including lunch, evening tea with snacks, and dinner. The houseboat anchors at a peaceful location for an overnight stay surrounded by nature.

On the fifth day, you will wake up to the calm beauty of the backwaters and enjoy breakfast onboard while watching the sunrise. After check-out from the houseboat, you will proceed back to Kochi. Upon arrival in Kochi, you will be transferred to your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the city or relaxing. If time permits, you may visit popular attractions such as Fort Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets, Marine Drive, Mattancherry Palace, and St. Francis Church, which reflect the rich colonial and cultural heritage of the city. Overnight stay will be in Kochi.

Last day, after breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and be transferred to Kochi airport or railway station for your onward journey, marking the end of your memorable Kerala holiday filled with hills, wildlife, backwaters, and cultural experiences.
