Kerala Express — Munnar Hills & Alleppey Backwaters

This Kerala tour begins on arrival at Kochi, where our representative will receive you at the airport or railway station and assist you with a comfortable transfer to Munnar (one of Kerala's most beautiful hill stations). The journey takes approximately 4 to 5 hours and is extremely scenic, passing through lush green landscapes, waterfalls, spice plantations, and the winding roads of the Western Ghats. On the way, you may enjoy short photo stops at Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls along with views of rubber and cardamom plantations. Upon reaching Munnar, you will check into your hotel or resort and spend the evening at leisure, enjoying the cool climate and peaceful surroundings of the hills. Overnight stay will be in Munnar.

The second day is fully dedicated to exploring Munnar, a destination known for its tea gardens, misty hills, and natural beauty. After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed for a full-day sightseeing experience covering major attractions of the region. The day includes a visit to Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, followed by the Tea Museum where you can learn about the history and processing of tea in Kerala. Later, you will explore Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake, where optional boating can be enjoyed depending on availability and weather conditions. The day also includes visits to scenic viewpoints and lush green tea plantations, offering excellent photography opportunities. In the evening, you may explore local markets for tea, spices, and handmade chocolates before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay in Munnar.

On the third day, after breakfast and hotel check-out, you will drive towards Alleppey, which is famous for its backwaters and traditional houseboat experiences. The journey takes around 5 to 6 hours, passing through scenic countryside views and small Kerala villages. Upon arrival, you will board a private houseboat, where you will be welcomed with traditional hospitality and begin your unforgettable cruise through the backwaters. The houseboat gently moves through narrow canals, vast lakes, coconut groves, and paddy fields while offering a glimpse into the peaceful village life of Kerala. Freshly prepared Kerala meals will be served onboard, including lunch, evening tea with snacks, and dinner. As the sun sets, the houseboat anchors at a calm village location, allowing you to enjoy a serene night surrounded by water and nature. Overnight stay will be on the houseboat in Alleppey.

On the final day, you will wake up to the calm beauty of the backwaters and enjoy breakfast onboard while witnessing the sunrise over the lakes. After check-out from the houseboat, you will be driven back to Kochi for your onward journey. If time permits, a short sightseeing tour of Kochi can be arranged, including popular attractions such as Marine Drive, Fort Kochi, Chinese Fishing Nets, and St. Francis Church, depending on your departure schedule. Later, you will be dropped at Kochi airport or railway station with beautiful memories of your Kerala holiday.
